The Combat-Oriented Party Unveiled
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the premier party of heroes who will split off from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team features Teor (played by the voice actor), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).
The Reason for Division
Considering an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at a single group would be unworkable.
Hence, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Prelude, intertwining the characters’ stories before splitting into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might appear out of place, but the developments of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.
Motivations for Departure
First, the team knows exactly where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the character, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a fortified location in the remote area, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each member has a individual motive to leave the city the metropolitan area:
- Thimble, as the companion and trusted friend, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the region and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to kill the fighter and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their status as key figures in the powerful family could help the party enter areas they usually can’t.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a life debt to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that rule Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and The healer defied the influential house and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This leaves them few options but to head to Timmony in quest for the traitor.
